New stuffs!

After winning the PSKPP Achery competition last month, I've decided to buy few accessories for this sport such as quiver, fletchers jig and recurve bagpack. These cost me about RM 900. Which was alright. After all, it is not about the amount of the money being cast-off but it is more like interest or desire to have it.
Olympic Round stressed out
Hopefully, having these items will motivate me to be more consistent and achieve something big in future. Thanks to Leha in making my dreams to own these kits come true.

Rukun Negara

السلام عليكم

So, I'd decided to write Rukun Negara in Khat Nasakh. Tu je yang termampu untuk tulis 15 minit. Ni la hasilnya:

MSKPP 2011

It has been a while since i held a recurve bow after graduation. I started to play this sport since form 5 after the opening of indoor archery arcade in Skudai Parade last time. Sekarang dah tutup pon.

To make the story short, I met En Amir (penyelia sukan PPD JB kot) to join a road relay competition. We'd a discussion at McD UTM regarding the relay.

The preparation, the agenda, the place etc. As we were talking to his car, after finishing the discussion, he asked me:

Sukan apa lagi yang awak boleh main?
Archery

Hah!!! Kenapa tak cakap awal-awal tadi? Kita tak ada player tau tak?!!

Mana saya tau.. Encik pon tak cakap apa-apa tadi.

Awak ni!! Pernah main archery?

Pernah. Main-main biasa.

Pernah join tournament? Peringkat?

Pernah. National ada. Open pon ada.

Dah-dah. Tak payah masuk road relay. Esok awak pergi Sekolah Tasek jumpa Cikgu Sean. Dia manager memanah. Pandai-pandailah awak. Lusa tournament.

OK!

Macam tu lah ceritanya. Tak sempat training. Sampai-sampai Sekolah Tasek kena marah dulu 30 minit pastu terus pinjam bow bawak balik rumah. Bow GM tu! Berapa belas tahun punya bow entah. So, the moral of the story, mix with people and make yourself visible! Or else they will never know your ability or your interest.

Sushi Time!

I've never dreamed to make a sushi before, but today my beloved fiance taught me how to make the tastiest sushi ever (or so I thought)!!! Thanks honey!

I requested to make a Kani Tama Maki for our 1st time cooking session but both of us forgot how its look like. You know, the one with the sushi rice outside of the seaweed. But because we did not remember then, we simply ignored the outlook and simply make sushi based on our imagination.

Archery 2011

Salam. Alhamdulillah, I won 4 medals in the past MSKPP's Archery Competition. Thanks to my fiance, Noor Shaheeza for her companion and her drive to help me give my best in FITA and Olympic Round.

These photos will describe my journey to grasp the four medals:
Olympic Round (Individual)

Alhamdulillah
In this opportunity, I would like to thank En Amir, Cikgu Shian, my team (PPD JB): cikgu-cikgu Tasek Utara, cikgu-cikgu Islam Al-Hidayah (Ustaz Ezaidin & Ustaz Mohd Nur) for the chance given to me in joining the team.

Creativity in Learning

For the 1st time ever, I was sent to join Kursus Pemantapan Pedagogi Sain & Matematik Dalam Program MBMMBI Negeri Johor 2011. The course was held in River View, Muar. It was so exciting because I have to produce a creative lesson plan in Bahasa Melayu!!! Can you imagine that you've been learning mathematics in english for 7 years and now you have to explore all the mathematical terms in Malay. Sangat seronok sebab boleh gelakkan kawan-kawan yang salah translate. Sakit perut oooo!

This is my group!
Since I was the youngest teacher in this team, I was selected as a Team Leader. We'd only met 1.5 day to prepare our presentation and most of us didn't have too much time to know each other. Hence, these link should help team members or public to know us:

Kindly remind my team members to submit "Borang Perlaksanaan" to En Abu Samah (JPN)

my first baby step

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Arabic calligraphy is the artistic practise of handwriting, or calligraphy, and by extension, of bookmaking, in the lands sharing a common Islamic cultural heritage. [Wikipedia]

In Malaysia, this art is actively being promoted by Yayasan Restu which was founded in the year 1988 and based in Shah Alam. With deep interest in this art, I have also taken part to promote this form of Islamic art.
Own produce exhibited at Masjid Bandar Baru Uda. Alhamdulillah.

Yayasan Restu will also be organising an impromptu khat writing to all those who are interested to join next Sunday, 17th of July 2011 during their "Festival Al-Quran dan Kesenian Islam". Also a "Pameran Pedang Rasulullah" will take place from the 8th of July until 8th of August.

So, why not we spend some time and take the opportunity to get to know our beloved Prophet, Rasulullah saw, and the sacrifices, the wars, the jihad Rasulullah endured to spread Islam until finally it reached us.
See you there, insyaAllah.

An official "Cikgu" in the house!

Alhamdulillah.

Cikgu Syamim just got his "surat pengesahan jawatan" last week. There's no more turning back now.
Also already conducted his medical check-up this morning. Let's wait for the result. Manalah tahu kalau-kalau terlebih cholesterol (though highly unlikely). ;p

All the best, cikgu!

Tunang

Salam. Alhamdulillah 11 June 11 was my engagement day. I'm so grateful to have Shaheeza, the girl I dreamt to be my wife since I was 8. Owh, that is honestly a really long story but to make it short, I like her so much since then and thanks to Allah in making my dream come true. InsyaAllah, she will be the person I need, throughout life's journey.

Teachers Day

Salam. This year was first experience celebrating Hari Guru as a teacher. Even though I'm new here (7 months) but still I was selected as the coolest teacher award recipient in school.

Here are some pics regarding the celebration:

My Team!

Owh, I'm so fortunate and Alhamdulillah due to tutor hiring at Skor Bestari. It was like the best Hari Guru's present to me from Fariduddin Mokhtar. Thanks bro!

My work: Event Reports

It has been close to three months I have started working in my old secondary school (not counting the time I was asked to punched-in during the end of year break). Nothing much has changed. Even few of my teachers are still teaching there.

Masih bertatih dalam kehidupan seorang guru. Tapi Alhamdulillah, berkat sokongan keluarga, rakan-rakan dan anak murid; macam-macam dh dilalui bersama. So much has happened in this short period of time. The trust and respect that must be earned, are well on their way.

1. Hari Terbuka: 15 Januari 2011.

2. Pertandingan Bola Sepak Interclass: 19 Januari 2011.
Juara: my own class, Kelas 4SI1

3. Ancient Race (Mathematics): 9 Mac 2011.

4. Lawatan ke Petrosains dan Menara KL: 12 Mac 2011.

Also, there are always administrative works that need to be done in order to maintain the order of the school. Being in charge of decor for all the classes, being made man-of-ceremony for few of the many important occasions, saying farewell to one of the longest-serving educator, Ustazah Hjh Saedah; having had to measure and draw lines on the field, preparing exam questions, also most importantly.. to inspire the students.. As always the saying, "Good teacher Educates, Great teacher Inspires".
Hopefully, insyaAllah I am one to inspire the young minds to do great things in the future to the advancement of our country.

I am a teacher!

Being a teacher is a challenging profession. It is not just about teaching students but it is more to educate 'em in being a better person in future. This year, I was a homeroom teacher-4SI1. A lot of joy, sadness, memorable moment we went through together, there are even times I have to be strict, but we still had fun. I'd met many parents and talk to 'em as a guardian even though I'm neither married nor have any children of my own yet.

Semua tu pengalaman. As a teacher, I've seen many faces. I mean colleagues. Even you feel comfortable with 'em, you will never escape from being talked about. For those who are going to be a teacher, remember this!
